I try to tell folks that the difference between 3g and 4g isn’t that big until you get into 4g LTE. always go with phones that have LTE next to 4g as those are true 4g phones. the g only means generation, and there was a universal minimum set for 3g, but when it was time to make a minimum for 4g, all the carriers ignored the limitations. LTE is a new minimum standard and is the one that is far faster than 3g.

As for which phone to get, get the one you like the most. Go into the store and try them out for yourself. If you prefer the operating system of the iPhone 4s, by all means, get it. If you like the operating and potential speed of a 4g LTE android, then get that phone. Speed is nice, but if you end up not even liking the phone, don’t sacrifice comfort for speed when it comes to a phone you could potentially be stuck with for 2 years.
